I went to the NJ State Fair 5 weeks ago. It’s been 5 weeks since I ate a strawberry funnel cake (classic) and the biggest mozzarella stick on a stick ever. It’s been 5 weeks since I was so freaking close to winning a giant neon camo bear that I just KNOW Tito would have loved/been terrified of, and 5 weeks since a camel loved the Bamba I fed it/was terrified of my squeals.
It’s also been 5 weeks since my external hard drive broke (for the second time!). You’d think I would have learned my lesson the first time around. That means it’s been 5 weeks since I lost allllll of the pictures I photographed the last year and procrastinated posting on the blog. Oy vey.
So 5 weeks short a day I went to Best Buy’s help desk hoping and praying they could recovermy pictures but alas karma caught up with me. I knew I should have been more patient with people walking down the stairs to the subway and not cut them off but really???
HOWEVER. They were able to recover some of the files from the FIRST hard drive crash! All my pictures from London and Paris and Cologne and Sydney and Tokyo and I was so happy I could spit. And not all hope was lost because I could recover the last couple month’s worth of shots from my Lightroom.
I think this is some twisted form of natural selection.
So I’m sitting here watching a Food Paradise episode of carnival food, thinking about how I should have gotten some fried cheesecake to go (and backed up my external drive to the cloud), and looking through pictures of fried potatoes from the Christmas Carnival I went to in Germany!
